Women Empowerment Program: An Urge to Support Privilege-deprived Ones

The women empowerment program at Hindrise Foundation intends to assist underprivileged women on economic grounds living in rural parts and urban slum areas of India. We are also endeavouring to open the door of opportunities for the revival of traditional art and handicrafts by imparting meaningful training to budding artisans and boosting their level of confidence through our Skill Development workshops and programs conducted on a very often basis.

At Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation, we organize free skill development workshops on the fundamentals of stitching, developing home decors, hand embroidery, advanced techniques of painting such as Warli and Madhubani, and making handcrafted jewellery, hand-painted cards, attractive hand-made bags, and so on. Through skill development workshops and women empowerment programs, we enhance the skills of women living in the well of poverty and unemployment. It’s the best way through which women can stand on their own feet.

As Hindrise Foundation extends adequate training and all-time assistance to more and more women under the women empowerment program, we hope to create a blissful environment for multitudes of families, as empowering a woman is all about empowering a family.

Sales proceeds of our well-crafted products ensure a steady source of income for the women involved. In addition to this, we conduct health check-ups regularly, yoga to maintain physical and mental wellness, mentoring and counselling sessions, and similar types of supportive activities. We believe that in the journey of empowering women, fitness has a key role to play. Here, fitness includes physical and mental fitness. Furthermore, we are also gearing up to start a daily nutrition program under the women empowerment program at associated chambers of Hindrise Foundation to counter urban malnutrition, a much-ignored malady that has hampered the growth of India up to a great extent.

Upliftment of Women is the Need of the Hour

India is a land of rituals, tradition, and numerous practices that have been developed in many decades. These rituals, customs, and old practices become the consciousness of Indian society. We live in a country where a significant chunk of the population worship female Goddesses, treat mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, and friends with respect and love. But at the same time, we comprehend that our country is dominated by the patriarchal system in Indian society, and males are deemed superior compared to women. Principles of gender equality are sanctified in our Constitution. The Constitution of India grants equality to women and also empowers the State to take appropriate measures of positive differentiation in women’s welfare.
