Our Hindrise Foundation is a disaster response NGO that has emerged as a dynamic player in extending disaster response and preparedness activities to stand tall against the disasters and calamities all over India. Disaster response means valuable measures taken with respect to the prevention of disaster, diminishing the possible impact it may have on the people living under hardships and poverty, and equipping those essentials that may help in coping with the after-effects of the disaster.
The evaluation of disaster response takes place during the hours of unfortunate disasters. Disaster preparedness is all about making well-coordinated strategies coupled with risk reduction measures to prevent disaster circumstances and eventually lead to the safety of the maximum number of lives amid disaster situations.
In the last decades, India has joined the league of disaster-prone nations at the global level. As per the recent reports, 27 of Indian states and UTs are prone to disaster. About 59% of areas of the country are vulnerable to earthquakes. Out of entire geographical regions of the nation, 40 million hectare area is prone to floods. Also, India has been hit by cyclones many times until now.
Every time any natural disaster has occurred in our country, it has brought devastation of millions of lives and has traumatized several individuals by killing their family members and friends. As per the National Disaster Management Authority, the way humans have played with the environment's feelings, it's not wrong to say that natural disasters would take more often in the years to come due to the revenge-seeking mood of the environment.
A Brief Outlook on Policies and Preparedness of Our Disaster Response NGO
Our disaster response NGO in India, Hindrise Foundation, has framed certain policies keeping in mind the disasters taking place from time to time in India. Also, we are encouraging the disaster preparedness exercises along with the support from the end of government bodies to ensure effective disaster response along with its preparedness. In the past, several times, disasters and natural calamities have tried to pull the nation back. Still, the dedicated and combined efforts of individuals and community organizations have helped the country in standing against all the odds.
Being a disaster response NGO, we have served underprivileged communities with flood relief material such as drinking water facilities, food item distribution, and healthcare and medical support. We have assisted flood survivors of Assam, Bihar, and other states in order to rebuild their lives.
Although India has made progress in terms of scientific and technological aspects, and advancement in disaster relief fields, cases related to disasters and property loss are not slowing down. In reality, the human toll and financial losses have reached a shameful point. After analyzing the situation that a nation has to go through, we have sprung, providing immediate and sustainable aid to the victims of natural disasters.
Helping Hand in Testing Times
Irrespective of the financial status of an individual, when a disaster occurs, it cripples the rich and the poor. At Hindrise, our volunteers and associate team unit render support to all those people who have grieved the trauma and feeling vulnerable at the same time. Our disaster response NGO has taken several initiatives to bring the disaster-affected lives back on track.

Marching Ahead Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
Our disaster response NGO, Hindrise Foundation, is rising against the cruelties of COVID-19 pandemic, and along with serving the slum dwellers; we are also tracking flood-affected areas and providing the chief requirements over there as well. We have distributed relief materials to daily wage workers. We are concerned about floods and other catastrophes, and also we are actively working for COVID-19 affected families. Being a disaster response NGO in India, we have done our bit and are still making efforts to fight hard against hunger and fear-like situation caused to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With our recent interventions, we have served the victims of different disasters and COVID-19 pandemic, and we still feel that we have to do a lot more for the necessitous ones.
Being a disaster response NGO, Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation has consistently risen to provide assistance to people suffering due to disasters and Pandemic so that they can survive against the hard times. Recently, amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have taken country-wide initiatives to make the life-surviving facilities reach every sufferer’s door. Through our PAN India community outreach programme, we are inducing the adoption of health-related practices in poverty-stricken regions of India to halt the expanse of COVID.
