Maa Janki Library (माँ जानकी पुस्तकालय) is an initiative taken by Shri Narendra Kumar (Founder of Aatmnirbhar Sena and Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation). The Maa Janki Library inauguration ceremony took place on the 16th of April, 2025, in the heartland of Sitamarhi. The complete address is- Ward No.2, Shankar Chowk, Dumra, Near Children Park, Aatmnirbhar Sena Office, Sitamarhi.

As Chief Guests, Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha ji (Deputy CM of Bihar) and Shri Devesh Chandra Thakur Ji (Honourable MP & Former Chairman of Sitamarhi Legislative Council) attended the inauguration event and encouraged the families of Sitamarhi by reflecting on the benefits of Maa Janki Library.

Purpose Behind Inauguration of Maa Janki Library

The purpose behind the inauguration of Maa Janki Library is to empower residents of Sitarmarhi, particularly the children and youth, by providing access to information, education, and a space for learning and community participation as well as engagement.

Shri Narendra Kumar (Founder of Aatmnirbhar Sena and Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation) observed that a significant percentage of the population in Sitamarhi is deprived of good and meaningful education. According to the survey conducted in 2024, the illiteracy rate in Sitamarhi district in Bihar stood at 47.95%.

More than 16 lakh people are not literate in Sitamarhi, Bihar. Considering these numbers and analyzing the entire scenario, Narendra Ji came up with the thought of launching Maa Janki Pustakalaya to contribute to strengthening the education system in Sitamarhi district.
