What is a Cow Ambulance?

As the name suggests, a cow ambulance is a vehicle that is specially designed with the intent to transport injured, sick, or stray cows to veterinary hospitals, gaushalas, or cow shelters. At Hindrise Gaushala, we are running a cow ambulance to provide timely medical assistance and care to cows. We make sure that none of the cows should die due to the unavailability of vehicles and late treatment. This ambulance is also known as Gau Ambulance. In India, cows are considered mothers in Sanatan Dharma. They are viewed as valuable assets for farmers, and their health and well-being are a matter of concern for many folks that belong to rural communities since a significant percentage of the population is dependent on mother cows for livelihood.

10 Objectives of Running a Cow Ambulance

We can’t see the suffering of mother cows. Our love and respect toward cows, whom we consider equivalent to our mother, drives us to transform their lives. We are running a cow ambulance to ensure that no cows within our reach will die due to a lack of healthcare facilities and veterinary support. We make them available all the resources that can extend their life. The substantial objectives of running a cow ambulance are mentioned below-

Timely Medical Assistance

  • One of the significant objectives of running a cow ambulance is to provide prompt medical assistance and support to sick or injured cows.
  • We are striving not to compromise their health and well-being. Thus, we are bridging the gap between the divine mother cows and healthcare facilities.

Injury and Accident Management

  • Our team of Gau volunteers ensure that we will transport injured cows safely to veterinary hospitals for their appropriate treatment as well as care.
  • We have a huge network of Pashu-chikitsaks to handle injury and accident management and help cows recover well from accidents and injuries.

Community Education

  • Our objective is to raise awareness among the community about taking preventive healthcare measures, adopting a responsible cattle care approach, and the worth of reporting injuries as well as emergency situations pertaining to mother cows.

Emergency Support

  • With the aid of a cow ambulance, we ensure emergency support during critical circumstances. We respond quickly to accidents, and distress calls entailing divine moo creatures.

Suffering Prevention

  • At Hindrise Gaushala, we address health issues and provide medical interventions when required in order to alleviate the suffering of mother cows.

Disease Control

  • With the help of a cow ambulance, we can shift cows from one place to another in order to contain the spread of contagious diseases among the desi indigenous cow breeds.
  • From isolating them to providing the right treatment to infected cows, we take care of everything. Last year, during the Lumpy skin disease outbreak, we saved the precious lives of 5000+ desi Indian cows, including cow breeds such as Gir, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, etc.

Rescue of Stray Cows

  • We are on a mission to assist and rescue stray cows that may be in a situation of distress or may be injured or sick.
  • We are striving to settle them in a safe and comfortable space. Also, the easy availability of cow ambulances will be helpful for the street cows.

Promoting Animal Welfare

  • One of the significant objectives of running a cow ambulance is to advocate for the ethical and fair treatment of mother cows and encourage animal welfare principles in society.

Promoting Animal Welfare

  • We work in close coordination with animal care organizations and veterinary professionals. Currently, we have two ambulances running, but it’s impossible to manage the transportation and treatment of the total number of injured and sick cows.
  • We are planning to increase the number of cow ambulances and develop our organization as a full-fledged animal care organization.

Enhance the Lives of Cows

  • With cow ambulance support across the streets of Delhi NCR and other parts of India, we are willing to enhance the lives of cows.
  • Many cows die every day due to a lack of timely medical assistance and the negligence of society. Thus, we are running cow ambulances to provide them with the right treatment.

Timely Medical A ssistance

  • One of the significant objectives of running a cow ambulance is to provide prompt medical assistance and support to sick or injured cows.
  • We are striving not to compromise their health and well-being. Thus, we are bridging the gap between the divine mother cows and healthcare facilities.

Reduced Road Accidents

It’s very common for people to get trapped in the web of road accidents in the process of helping animals on the road and getting injured while saving them. Even in some cases, motorists and car drivers lose their life when they come across an injured cow or dog roaming on the street. Such cases of road accidents can be reduced. Cow ambulances can provide immediate support to injured cows and help them stay away from busy streets. Thus, the likelihood of road accidents can be reduced.

Conservation of Indigenous Breeds

Cow ambulances are responsible for protecting indigenous cow breeds from road accidents, injuries, and distress-like situations. Cow ambulances may play a substantial role in the conservation of indigenous cattle breeds. By rescuing and rehabilitating mother cows, we can preserve our cultural heritage and the divine creation of god.
