As the name suggests, a cow ambulance is a vehicle that is specially designed with the intent to transport injured, sick, or stray cows to veterinary hospitals, gaushalas, or cow shelters. At Hindrise Gaushala, we are running a cow ambulance to provide timely medical assistance and care to cows. We make sure that none of the cows should die due to the unavailability of vehicles and late treatment. This ambulance is also known as Gau Ambulance. In India, cows are considered mothers in Sanatan Dharma. They are viewed as valuable assets for farmers, and their health and well-being are a matter of concern for many folks that belong to rural communities since a significant percentage of the population is dependent on mother cows for livelihood.
We can’t see the suffering of mother cows. Our love and respect toward cows, whom we consider equivalent to our mother, drives us to transform their lives. We are running a cow ambulance to ensure that no cows within our reach will die due to a lack of healthcare facilities and veterinary support. We make them available all the resources that can extend their life. The substantial objectives of running a cow ambulance are mentioned below-
Hindrise Gaushala, a unit of Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation, is constantly working, keeping in mind the security, health and well-being of the Cow dynasty. In this sequence, the Hindrise team has announced to increase the number of cow ambulances and reach out to the maximum number of ailing and injured cows. The intent is to provide the right and timely treatment to mother cows. Founder of Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation, Narendra Kumar, said, “We are making strategy regarding the implementation of running cow ambulances all over India and help the cows in distress and injured cows. We are planning to provide an emergency number for the public so that if they come across any injured cow or cow met with an accident; they can reach out to us. After receiving the call, our veterinary department will reach within 1 hour and provide the cow ambulance service and emergency treatment support. It’s a rapid action plan on which we are working right now.”
The consistent running of cow ambulances ensures that injured, sick or distressed cows will receive prompt medical treatment and will even be saved during emergencies. It will lead to animal welfare by minimizing the scope of their sufferings and providing necessary care to the cows.
It’s very common for people to get trapped in the web of road accidents in the process of helping animals on the road and getting injured while saving them. Even in some cases, motorists and car drivers lose their life when they come across an injured cow or dog roaming on the street. Such cases of road accidents can be reduced. Cow ambulances can provide immediate support to injured cows and help them stay away from busy streets. Thus, the likelihood of road accidents can be reduced.
Cow ambulances are responsible for protecting indigenous cow breeds from road accidents, injuries, and distress-like situations. Cow ambulances may play a substantial role in the conservation of indigenous cattle breeds. By rescuing and rehabilitating mother cows, we can preserve our cultural heritage and the divine creation of god.
The presence of cow ambulances and the care and love showered by human beings on cows will foster a stronger bond between sacred moo creatures and humans. It can lead to greater empathy as well as responsible behaviour towards all the living creatures on the planet.
The major source of disease transmission is sick or injured cows. Cow ambulances play a substantial role in forming healthier communities by rescuing and providing the right treatment to unhealthy cows. Reduction in the risk of zoonotic diseases and improvement in overall sanitation will be a possibility with the help of cow ambulances in an operational state.
Cow ambulances may turn out to be supportive to livestock farmers as their cows get entangled in emergency-like situations. The easy availability of cow ambulances can save the lives of several valuable livestock. Furthermore, it can reduce the losses for farmers. There is no loss and grief bigger than the loss of mother cows. Thus, preserving them for ourselves as well as for livestock farmers is important.
We feel that our responsibility as individuals and community members is to protect mother cows and help them get timely treatment. We are striving to meet the emotional, healthcare needs as well as other needs of the cows and form a peaceful and flourishing environment for their survival.
We are aiming to maximize the number of cow ambulances to ensure maximum protection and safety for mother cows. We need your wholehearted contribution to fulfil our target of purchasing 10+ cow ambulances, each costing Rs 25 lakh.
