Change Makers of our Society-Project Aavahan
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we have been waiting for. We are the change we seek”-
Barak Obama.
You will always come across that one person in your life, seeing whom, you will have Gratitude of what you have. I felt the same during the last community outreach, held at Deepak Vihar( Khora), Ghaziabad.
Meet Waris( Name changed) an Eighteen-year-old boy who works in a Motorcar repairing shop as a helper. He is a school dropout, and this makes him ineligible for many jobs you can think of. He has a family to take care of, so he took up whatever job he could back then. The Future seems a bit bleak, but Waris is an optimist. He, one day wants to open his Motorcar repairing shop, so that he can be his boss. Hence this poor yet very talented boy is one of the people who require such Skill Development programmes. If these lives can be helped through our initiative of providing training to the lesser ones, we can hope things can one day, be a step better of people like him.
Similarly, Rabiya (name changed), a sixteen-year-old girl also has so much enthusiasm for following her dreams. She wants to learn to stitch. She is also a school dropout(11th standard ) but having a different talent from her school days as she won many stitching and painting competition. She wants to help her family economically. While interacting with me; she said that she is willing to join our training programme. There are many people having talent in them but do not get a better platform to show their expertise. Hindrise is giving a better platform as well as training, which will help the needy people, to make themselves self-reliant.
