The fact is that across the whole of the nation, the conditions of children are pathetic. To stop child labour is a human right issue for the whole world. It is the most serious and extensive problem, with the children working under the age of 14 years. According to the statistics given by the <strong>government of India<\/strong>, there are 20 million child labourers presently working across the nation. However, the claim by the other agencies claim is up to 50 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The children must not have to work at a very little age, and this view is universally accepted, but there is no single answer as to why it is difficult to stop child labour. India is facing the crucial task of eliminating child labour from all spheres of the state. In India, children are engaged in carpet factories, glass factories, and other hazardous industries, which is dangerous and illegal too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-red-background-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/hindrise.org\/donate\">Donate for Children Education<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The word child labour has two-fold interpretations-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Firstly, it has been implied that it is an economic necessity for low-income families<\/li><li>Secondly, children are made to work for long hours at a meagre remuneration for maximizing urge of a commercial establishment&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Child Labour in India<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Child labour in India is not a very new or surprising word for anyone. It has been in presence since ancient times in one form or the other from time to time. In the early 20th century, the workshop and manufacturing industry has started the business of handcrafts. On the other side, the factories required inexpensive and ample labour. Therefore they started hiring children as they are not complaining about the labour force than adults. Children do not demand and easy to handle; hence are placed in jobs like brick manufacturing, carpet knitting, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The condition of Child labourers in India is very poor. Children work for 8 hours at a stretch of a small break for meals. The meals are not proper and make them ill because of no adequate nourishment. Most of the migrant children do not seem able to go home and therefore sleep at their workplace that is very bad for their health and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almost 75% of the Indian population are residing in rural areas are mostly poor. Therefore the rural families who are ailing from poverty perceive their children as an income-generating resource to supplement the family income. Our constitution has clearly mentioned free education for every child who is below the age of 14 years. Education is the single key to fight against child labour; however, the families below the poverty line do not allow their children to go to school. As they think, earning is vital for the livelihood of the family. The government and NGOs like us are encouraging the parents to send their children to schools. Motivational and encouraging videos are made for spreading the right to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Freedom from Exploitation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To stop child labour, one can reduce the working hours of part-time child workers who are above the age of 16 years. The children below the age of 14 years are strictly prohibited by law, and they cannot work as labour; otherwise, the employer will be liable for the punishment under the eyes of the law. In general, there must be 14 hours per week working. Reducing working hours will also be enough to allow children to go to school or college. If it is possible, do not lessen the income of any child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">10 December is when the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NobelPrize?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NobelPrize<\/a> is awarded and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/HumanRightsDay?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#HumanRightsDay<\/a> is celebrated globally. The consultation must be made with workers and their representatives. The employer must clearly state the arrangements which have been put in place to ensure the safety and health of all child workers. In particular, there must be a compulsory watch for occupational safety and health amongst people of young age in the industry or company. Every worker, supervisor, and the manager must be aware about the health policy. Occupational safety and health management systems cannot function properly without workers&#8217; full participation at every stage; therefore, through joint safety and health committees or meetings with workers and their representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Control in Family Population<\/strong><\/em> : The population is another major factor in India, which has lead to poverty and lack of education. The families with a lack of knowledge and education have many children, leading the children to earn for family livelihood. The control in the population is the biggest concern in itself. Because of the growing population, children are not getting basic needs, such as food and health facilities. The government has initiated the concept of mid-day meals in government schools to burden down the family responsibility that does not meet the need for their daily bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Initiatives Taken by Hindrise Foundation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spreading Awareness to Stop Child Labour<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Parental awareness is essential to stop child labour as it can prevent children from becoming labourers. The lack of understanding on the part of parents develops the situations where traffickers prey upon children and end up being child labour. Our organization has found the exploited children, helped them in studies, and encouraged them about the education benefits for children. We can see several cases have been filed under the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act (2012) and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, where there is an increase in the number of convictions. It has been demonstrated how legislation can curb child trafficking. Hindrise maintains coordination with the state and district level authorities for keeping a vigilant eye upon the implementation of pro-child laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sending More Children to School<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>India, though, has the world\u2019s most extensive educational system. We are reporting child labour instances at businesses and homes and discouraging people from employing children for household work or shops or factories etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting Victims of Child Labour<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Many children require immediate aid as they are the victims of child labouring; Hindrise is ensuring that existing policies must be followed. Our organization is presently focusing on education and the new life of many children who are affected, handicapped, affected, and exploited being child labour. Hindrise works with state, national, and state-level authorities, including police departments of conditions, to prevent child exploitation incidence in states such as Delhi, NCR, Punjab, and other neighbouring states. Our main aim is to work for long-term societal change by supporting and helping the needy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To stop child labour in India is the greatest need of an hour for our society. We require providing proper education for every child as they will be our future face. The children will represent our nation one day, so every child must have proper care and health facilities. The concept of child labour is a multifaceted problem and entrenched in the socio-economic drapery of civilization. However, there are so many factors that are responsible for child labour in India. We can stop labour only by fetching attitudinal modification, social alertness, and no laborious promotion. While experts blame the government system and other factors such as poverty, illiteracy, adult unemployment, yet the fact is that the entire nation is responsible for the crime against a child. Instead of the nipping problem and stop child labour in India, it shows adverse statics of the increasing number of child labour with each passing year. Today the young ones below the age of 14 are working in various industries, which is prohibited and punishable.
