These rituals, customs, and old practices become the consciousness of Indian society. We live in a country where a significant chunk of the population worship female Goddesses, treat mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, and friends with respect and love. But at the same time, we comprehend that our country is dominated by the patriarchal system in Indian society, and males are deemed superior compared to women. Principles of gender equality are sanctified in our Constitution. The Constitution of India grants equality to women and also empowers the State to take appropriate measures of positive differentiation in women’s welfare.

The women empowerment program at Hindrise rotates around supporting women’s social and economic empowerment via community-based savings groups that help members access credit, preserve money for future needs, upgrade financial literacy, and make a wise investment in income-minting activities. Through our women empowerment programs, we encourage skills building, access to information and resources, self-esteem, and community action that would eventually lead to the evolution of women as confident leaders and decision-makers in their respective communities.

Over the last few years, Hindrise has supported millions of women with savings groups programming in most of India’s backward regions. Women who have received support from us have achieved incredible feats, such as initiating their start-up business, purchasing farms without taking support from their family members, mobilizing their communities for the construction of new classrooms, and raising their voice against injustice, and also taking the stand for those who have not done anything wrong.

Withstanding the Emergencies like a Warrior

Group members at Hindrise Foundation have gained public speaking along with leadership experience, advance a supreme sense of identity within the group, and utilize the economic empowerment attained via the savings and lending to keep the future in mind and invest in businesses as well.

India is a country where the majority of working populations’ bank upon agriculture to generate their income for livelihood. Inconsistent rainfall, earthquake, and drought can plague rural and semi-rural areas and leave smallholder farmers struggling to meet their daily needs. In such hours of darkness, children and women from marginalized communities are hit the hardest. Hindrise Foundation’s women empowerment groups back community members in building their savings to weather these hurricanes in financial spheres and give them a voice along with community decision-making authority to help gear up for and stand tall against these emergencies.

In India, Hindrise Foundation has joined hands with huge organizations and various state governments to create the projects in order to uplift the lives of billions of underprivileged women. In every corner of the world, we’ve seen that women are economically empowered and give their nod to leadership roles. We have to admit the fact that communities are forever changed.

Our Approach

In line with our development approach concerning women, we back the initiatives of women’s organizations, feminist activists, women leaders, women entrepreneurs, and organizations that make an immense contribution to political or economic transformations that further enhance the position of women. Being a women empowerment NGO, Hindrise Foundation is organizing victim support programs, addressing violence-related matters against women, and lending a helping hand to women facing the heat of negligence and oppression in a male-dominating society.

At Hindrise Foundation, we engage with big companies, state governments, and citizens (Including men and women) to let them identify and assist women’s leadership in decision-making processes within the boundaries of their institutions. Additionally, we stimulate businesses and certification bodies to implement recommendations for better labour conditions for women.

Through the women empowerment program, we are eyeing, bringing positive transformation in the lives of women living in happiness-deprived societies craving to witness a rainbow of joy in their lives. We are raising the standards of powerless women living in the trap of poverty under hardships by granting them the required equipment and tools that would make them establish their foot in Indian society in the forthcoming period.

Our Strategy

We have realized that women’s empowerment is the leading enabler of developing any country and economic progression. When women in our country are guaranteed equal rights in all the departments of life, skills, and access to numerous opportunities in the same way as men are getting – and when the norms along with the stereotypes that reduce the pace of women are challenged and overcome – the effect is likely to be transformational. It would be beneficial for the entire societies along with individuals and their families – and it would also turn out to be advantageous for our business. By 2021, we will empower more than 20 million women by increasing the opportunities for women in our operations, advancing safety, enhancing skills, and expanding opportunities so that they can become self-reliant and manage their daily necessities with their accumulated savings and earnings.

Take Away

Women empowerment is a significant aspect of accomplishing gender equality, where men, as well as women, have equal authority and opportunities for healthcare, education, economic participation, skill development, and personal growth. Women empowerment revolves around efforts that comprise “advocating for human rights concerning girls and women, battling against discriminatory practices and challenging the stereotypes and functions that formulates inequalities and exclusion.” Through, Women empowerment program, we are making women industry-ready with the hope that we will be able to maximize the number of self-reliant women all over India.

The women empowerment program at Hindrise Foundation intends to assist underprivileged women on economic grounds living in rural parts and urban slum areas of India.
