The hunger problem is the central issue around the globe in the current scenario. The problem is not new to us, but the crisis of Covid-19 has added more to the already existing hunger trauma around the globe. Hunger has become a significant and most emerging issue with the deteriorating condition of the economy of India. The hunger issue needs an immediate concern and must be resolved in the proper mechanism to facilitate achieving Zero Hunger in India. We` Hindrise Foundation, the Hunger-related NGO, is opting for all significant ways to tear the issue by its root, leaving no scope of it rising in the future.

There is disparity amongst the people, but one thought ‘hunger’ as a severe problem had always remained a core issue amongst the people with less scope of diminishing away. In short, we are trying tremendously at achieving Zero Hunger In India.

India is known to be the fastest-growing economy globally. It has all the country’s signs under significant improvements in the economy, production, healthcare, and wealth increase. Despite all of this, India’s poverty and hunger-stricken issues are very high and often ignored by us. When most of us enjoy lavish dinner and luxurious life of eating out, most people sleep empty stomach. This aching heart issue requires the prime concern of the relevant authorities and active NGO’s like us to greet the case for achieving Zero Hunger in India.

Reason behind achieving Zero Hunger in India

With a population of about 1.3 billion, India has seen tremendous growth and positive changes in the past two decades.

However, despite phenomenal industrial and economic development, and while India produces sufficient food to feed its entire population, it cannot provide food to many people and its aim of accomplishing Zero Hunger in India.

Any country is known by its people and its capability to take proper care of its population. The land where most people are going back to bed empty stomach, the prosperity of that very country is at stake.

Undoubtedly, India produces a sufficient amount of food for its population but cannot distribute in proportion and provide easy access to most people, especially its women & children.

This is why one out of every four children living in India will have to experience Hunger, which often results in malnutrition.

Moreover, this insufficiency perpetuates poverty and does very little—next to nothing—to eliminate an endless cycle of low growth & premature deaths.

Seeing all factors, our primary concern lies in accomplishing Zero Hunger in India to perish the issue altogether.

Donate For Zero Hunger People In India

Hunger status of India

According to recent FAO estimates in ‘The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, 2020 report, approximately 189.2 million people are under-nourished in India. By this measure, we can say that about 14% of the population is undernourished in India.

Also, 51.4% of women in the reproductive age of between 15 to 49 years are anemic.

As per the source, 34.7% of the children aged under five years of age in India are too short for their age, 20% of them suffer from wasting, which means their weight is too less for their height.

Malnourished children are subject to a higher risk of death from significant childhood illnesses like dengue, typhoid, diarrhea, pneumonia & malaria.

The Hunger Index 2019 ranks India at 102 out of 117 countries based on three leading indicators, i.e., the prevalence of wasting & stunting in children under five years, child mortality rate, and the proportion of undernourished existing in the population.

India is deemed the home to the largest undernourished population globally, which draws our primary concern towards the prevailing condition and pushes in Achieving Zero Hunger in India.

Root causes of Hunger (Hindrances on the way of accomplishing Zero Hunger in India)

Some significant reasons and factors contribute to the growing issue of Hunger in India. These same factors are the biggest obstacles on our way to achieving Zerohunger in India. The elements are as follows:

Poverty Issue

Poverty is leading and is far from being eradicated. Poverty is a significant hindrance to the way of achieving Zero Hunger in India. Poverty alone cannot result in malnutrition, but it seriously affects the availability of an adequate amount of nutritious food and the minimum amount of penny in the pocket to avail of raw food for the most vulnerable sections.

Over 90 percent of malnourished people are live in developing countries. Our NGO for Hunger in India is adamant and proactive in alleviating poverty-related issues from India by increasing the accessibility of essential resources in the underserved areas where there is a lack of necessities of life. We aim rigorously in accomplishing Zero Hunger in India.

Lack of Access to an Adequate Amount of Food and Drinking Water

Hunger’s primary issue is rising in India, not because of a lack of food availability but because of a Lack of resources to avail the same. Insufficient finance is the primary factor contributing to the food insecurity of the most vulnerable sections of society. Similarly, Lack of proper drinking water, poor hygiene, and dangerous sanitation practices increase vulnerability to several water-borne diseases, which results in the direct cause of acute malnutrition.

Hindrise Foundation works out of the plate to provide adequate drinking water facilities amongst the backward and rural areas where drinking water is scarce. We consistently aim at reaching the point of Zero Hunger in India.

Climatic Changes

In thirty years, the number of natural disasters has popped in the form of — droughts, cyclones, floods, etc. The repercussions of these climate change are often dramatic; devastating are already vulnerable. Infrastructure is damaged/destroyed; diseases spread rapidly; people cannot grow crops or raise livestock.

According to the UN, in over 40 developing countries, the decline in agricultural production caused either directly or indirectly by climate change could increase people’s suffering from Hunger in the coming years. Our NGO, Hindrise Foundation, keeps a right eye over all these affected areas and is bewildering itself to reach out to all victims with their benefits and assistance for achieving Zero Hunger in India.

Food Wastage

Wasting food is the prime reason for growing hunger issues. Half of the world is short of proper nutrition and accessibility; on the other hand, most people tremendously waste food, not realizing its worth.

According to a recent study of the UN Development Program, 40% of India’s food gets wasted. As a responsible person, it is upon one and all to understand food’s value and put a bar on the food wastage. Instead of wasting food unnecessarily, we can accumulate food from various households, cafes. We can proceed ahead to distribute food to the hunger-stricken families and fulfill their food requirements for survival. One morsel can save a life.

Our NGO is pro-active in organizing conferences and seminars on the importance and value of food in our lives to make the crowd aware of its value and aims at achieving Zero Hunger in India.

Winding Up

Hindrise Foundation aims at reaching the point of Zero Hunger in India. It is a hunger-related NGO that has focused its efforts on India’s most emerging yet solvable issue. Action like achieving Zero Hunger in India has proved instrumental in saving India’s lives by taking a hands-on, direct, and indirect approach.

The Hindrise Foundation has implemented specific nutrition programs, worked on health systems in India with various government officials, and even worked with healthcare providers to recognize and subsequently treat Hunger’s issue in India. All of their efforts have been in India’s most impoverished areas in hopes that future India takes not and conserve its resources for achieving Zero Hunger in India.

Improvements have been exemplary, and the continued efforts to fight hunger problems in India have resulted in lower hunger rates since our intrusion in the issue. There is still a very long road left to travel. In the coming years, it remains to be seen how successful NGOs like ours will be in fighting Hunger with the aim of reaching the point of Zero Hunger in India.

Accomplishing Zero Hunger in India is the aim since time immemorial towards making India a better place to live.
